The Solid Wood We Use
Ethically sourced from FSC and PEFC-certified German supplier, Pollmeier, all the beech timber we use is harvested and manufactured legally according to state controls, ensuring that the materials are legal and environmentally friendly.
Manufacturing materials from forests that are responsibly managed for sustainability guarantees no impact on the environment and wildlife while meeting current and future generations' needs, with no deforestation or degradation of biodiversity.
Our materials are subject to the legality of various international laws, such as the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR), the Lacey Act in the USA, and the Australian Illegal Logging Prohibition Act.
In addition, the thermal energy required in the wood-drying process is generated entirely from the energy recovery of waste products, such as sanding dust.

The Fabrics We Choose
To create the best possible products while reducing our impact on the environment, Podium lite has partnered with a supplier who shares the same sustainability values to get sustainable fabrics for our seat parts.
We choose to upholster the seat parts of our products with sustainable fabrics recycled from 100% textile waste without any harmful chemicals in their recycling process. These materials are made from threads and scraps from garment factories that were sorted by shades before being processed into new fibers and then woven into recycled fabrics.
One of the main benefits of using this fabric type is how we can reduce CO2 emissions. Because our upholstery fabrics are not bleached or dyed, and we do not need to make brand-new fibers for them, we can lower the CO2 emissions generated by bleaching, dyeing and fiber manufacturing processes.
When we use upholstery fabrics that do not need bleaching or dyeing processes and do not require us to grow a large number of plants to produce new fibers, we can also save the large amount of water consumed by those procedures and protect sources of water from chemical contamination.
By their manufacturing process, as mentioned above, we can effectively lessen the energy used to make our upholstery fabrics. Also, through the use of renewable energy from solar panels in their production, these materials help cut down on dirty energy use and carbon footprint.
And, of course, the waste from these sustainable fabrics can be recycled into new products too!
The Shipping Method
We Provide
At Podium lite, we can achieve the best thing for the planet and future generations by shipping our goods unassembled in a more eco-friendly way.
By designing our packages to be smaller and have the least empty space inside, our flat-pack furniture can be transported in about three times more quantities than fully assembled furniture per delivery cycle. This enables us to reduce the number of delivery cycles required while lowering CO2 emitted by the vehicles we use. Doing this helps Podium lite be more efficient with resources like fuels, and keep our carbon footprint small as possible, which is good for the planet.
This package type is designed to be strong and durable enough to ideally prevent furniture damage during transit without using plastic air bubbles and additional boxes. This helps reduce the amount of packaging and plastic waste, which goes to landfill and causes pollution problems.

The Replaceable Parts We Design
Our R&D team has developed a line of flat-pack furniture that provides you with replaceable parts, particularly the backrests and seats!
Parts of our products can be replaced, repaired, or even recycled so that you can use the furniture you order from Podium lite again and again for years to come.
That way, we can help you reduce the amount of waste produced by furniture manufacturers and increase the longevity of each piece we make by allowing you to replace damaged or worn-out parts instead of throwing away an entire piece of furniture - which means less damage to the environment overall.
